After Nightmare stayed in her world, the atmosphere had an adverse effect on her. Over time, she was consumed with the idea of self-preservation. fining a forbidden spell, shetransformed herself into the menacing beast (right side). Nightmare's aura caused the other ragdoll demons to mutate into hideous craetures and serve her. After many years, Nightmare became aware of the other world and the Human soul. The Human soul could prolong her lifespan even longer. She sent her minions to invade the Human World. The creatures rippied open a dimension hole which spewed ash and fog into the human world.

This started the first Silent Hill
